For the next couple of weeks, I will be featuring photos from Toone's Chapel Cemetery, in Tulip, Arkansas in my Tombstone Tuesdays Posts. I took these pictures back in 2004, so the quality isn't that great. Most of the people buried in this cemetery are related to me or my family.

I am trying to figure out who this picture is. The name was given as M. Pattillo, and was shared with me by Tracie Oakley (Thank You!), but I have not been able to figure out which of the many M. Pattillo, I have in my files that this could be.

During Understanding 23andMe, AAGSNC's Outreach and Education Committee provided practical tips and tricks for understanding DNA results obtained from 23andMe's Roots into the Future Project so they can be successfully applied to genealogy research.

Interest in genetic genealogy is at an all time high, especially for those with African ancestry who participated in 23andMe's Roots into the Future Project.  Roots Revealed: Going Deeper with 23andMe aims to show researchers focused on African ancestored genealogy:

* How to narrow down and hone in on relations discovered using Relative Finder
* How to narrow down a last slaveholder who could be an ancestor
* How to narrow keep matches and connections organized
* What to do after contact is made with an identified relative and more!

Tombstone Tuesday: William Warren

William was the first child of David, Sr. & Mary Warren. He was born in Tulip, Arkansas on 7 February 1881. William married Mattie D. Bailey, daughter of Calvin  Bailey & Mattie Shavers on 20 November 1904. Other then his headstone in Toone's Chapel, his World War I draft card and his 1900 &1910 US Census entries; I haven't been able to locate anything on William. William died on 25 Aug 1921. He was my 1st Cousin, 3x removed.

I haven't been able to locate any additional information on Wille Warren, I can only assume he is related to my WARREN line in Dallas County, Arkansas. His death date does fall within War World II, but he doesn't have a military headstone or is listed in the Military collection on Ancestry.com. Any additional information is welcome/
