Follow Friday: Webinar with 23andMe & AAGSNC

=ROOTS REVEALED: GOING DEEPER WITH 23ANDME WEBINAR NOVEMBER 14=

The African American Genealogical Society of Northern California (AAGSNC) (http://www.aagsnc.org) is proud to announce it's first public webinar on November 14, 2012 at 6pm PST!  The webinar, Roots Revealed: Going Deeper with 23andMe, is a follow up to a members only webinar that took place earlier this year called Understanding 23andMe.

During Understanding 23andMe, AAGSNC's Outreach and Education Committee provided practical tips and tricks for understanding DNA results obtained from 23andMe's Roots into the Future Project so they can be successfully applied to genealogy research.

Interest in genetic genealogy is at an all time high, especially for those with African ancestry who participated in 23andMe's Roots into the Future Project.  Roots Revealed: Going Deeper with 23andMe aims to show researchers focused on African ancestored genealogy:

* How to narrow down and hone in on relations discovered using Relative Finder
* How to narrow down a last slaveholder who could be an ancestor
* How to narrow keep matches and connections organized
* What to do after contact is made with an identified relative and more!

This free public webinar is being offered by the African American Genealogical Society of Northern California (AAGSNC) and is limited to the first 200 registrants.
